Winter Garden Exhibit Reopens
On February 7, 2003 the exhibit of the World Trade Center site design concepts at the World Financial Center Winter Garden reopened to the public. The exhibit was launched on December 18 as part of LMDC’s Plans in Progress outreach campaign to display the nine initial World Trade Center site proposals. After closing on February 2, the exhibit was restructured to display only the two designs currently under consideration: Memory Foundations by Studio Daniel Libeskind and the World Cultural Center by THINK: Ban Schwartz Smith Vinoly.

The first run of the exhibit generated 100,000 visitors and 8,000 comment cards. The new exhibit will display the two proposals under consideration through the end of February 2003, when a single design concept for the World Trade Center site is selected. The exhibit, which is hosted by the World Financial Center Arts and Events Program, is open to the public from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, every day including holidays and weekends.
