 The LMDC has contributed $27 million in grants to 62 cultural institutions in order to enhance and restore the vital
cultural life of every Lower Manhattan neighborhood.  The LMDC develops and sponsors programs and resources to enhance the short-term and long-term quality-of-life in Lower Manhattan. LMDC works in collaboration with various city, state and federal agencies and civic organizations to create programs and resources for the many communities and individuals affected by the attacks.
